Welcome to Pie Society!
There’s something about pie that is so wholesome. It might be that we can stuff an entire meal into a buttery crust. We may feel the connection to childhood and Little Jack Horner’s nursery rhyme. It could be the comfort of apple pie. Whatever your connection, pie is anything but plain.
Piefect Dinner Kits
So EASY and so GOOD. We can’t stop testing these kits – wholesome, tasty, and full of local ingredients, our pies are made fresh weekly. Don’t be shy, try a pie.
Two Hearty Dinner Pies and All the Trimmings for $55.
Each Piefect Dinner Kit includes:
Two Dinner Pies (5” each)
Steak and Stout OR Turkey Apple Cider
Colcannon mashed potatoes with Savoy cabbage and leeks
Brown butter and citrus carrots and peas
Gravy (beef or turkey)
Before You Start
Pour yourself a glass of your favourite drink and, as you prepare to enjoy your delicious dinner, listen to Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Jordan sing ‘Petootie Pie’ to make you smile. We would suggest starting the warming process for your dinner at least 20 minutes before you would like to sit down and begin dining.
Turn the oven on and warm to 325 degrees.
Fill a pot with enough water to submerge (sous vide) the items that are in vacuum packed plastic bags. Heat the water to a low boil.
Place the pies in the oven for approximately 18 – 20 minutes.
After 10 minutes, place the potatoes, vegetables, and gravy in their vacuum sealed bags in your ppt of boiling water for 8 – 10 minutes.
Once everything is nice and warm, let the plating begin!
Scoop the Colcannon onto your plate first, top with the pie, plate carrots and peas on top of the pie and generously cover with gravy.
Steak and Stout Pie
7K Angus beef, Dandy of the Underworld Oyster Stout, beef stock, mushrooms, red onions, tomato purée, butter, egg, all purpose flour, balsamic vinegar, rosemary, thyme, bay leaves, salt and pepper.
Turkey Apple Cider Pie
Turkey, SunnyCider apple cider, old cheddar, butter, milk, crème fraiche, apple egg, leeks, all purpose flour, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, fresh herbs, salt, pepper.
Family Size Pies
All of our 9” Family Size Pies all weigh-in at around 1kg (2.2lb) so you know there’s been no scrimping when it comes down to what you’re getting.
Steak and Stout
Beef pies don’t get any more indulgent than our quintessential Steak and Stout and what isn’t there to love about our signature crust. Serve with buttery mashed potatoes and garden peas and enjoy with a pint of the black stuff for a real St. Patrick’s Day treat.
Minced Beef and Onion
Lean minced 7K Angus beef and plenty of onions come together in a rich brown sauce and find themselves piled under a buttery flaky crust in this classic pie. Serve with creamy mashed potatoes and garden peas for a comforting meal on a cold winter night.
A perfect pie to keep you cozy and warm this Winter. Made from Alberta bison and pork and seasoned with allspice and cloves. This pie pairs beautifully with a tangy relish or savoury jam.
Salmon, Fennel and Pernod
A true treat for your taste buds. Flaky pie crust and a rich creamy filling with delicious salmon, fennel, spinach and a touch of Pernod takes this pie to the next level. Served with a crisp green salad this would be a lovely dinner.
