It was a beautiful summer day.
The salmon was caught by the couple on the West Coast, the kegs of beer were local, and the ice cream was from Village Ice Cream. The wines were carefully selected from Ontario and BC. Local and personal touches always make such a difference – especially to out-of-town guests.
Dinner was served family style at long tables (our favourite style of service and favourite style of table settings!) that encouraged conversation and easy passing of bountiful platters.
Everyone danced the night away to Side One and dove into the candy bar and PZA pizza until the wee hours.
“First off, we need to give a huge congratulations to Sam for his Silver Medal in the Luge Team Relay at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. Way to represent and make Canada proud! Wahoo! So fantastic!”
